  10. ORGANIZE A DAY FOR THEM

EASY THREE INGREDIENT DOG TREATS
BAKE VALENTINE’S DAY TREAT-OS

Nothing says “Be Mine” like a tasty, nutritious treat. And although you can easily run to the store and buy some of their favorite snacks, surprise them instead by baking them something new that they will love. Try our Super Easy Three Ingredient Dog Treats made with healthy ingredients that are also human-friendly, so you can be sure to snag a bite.

BUY A NEW VALENTINE’S DAY TOY
Does your dog have a favorite toy? Maybe a stuffed animal or a squeaker, tennis ball or braided rope? Whichever is your dog's favorite, treat them to a brand new one to show them how much you care. Bonus points if you can find some that are Valentine’s Day themed with hearts or maybe a little cupid!

TAKE THEM ON AN ADVENTURE
Whether it’s a simple walk around the block or hitting a new dog-friendly hiking trail, show your pup you care by taking them on a fun adventure! If you are free for the day, maybe take them on a drive out to the coast and let them romp on the beach. Or keep it simple by going to their favorite local dog park, they might see their friends there too! Whichever you decide, any outing is a special treat that your pup will definitely appreciate.

GO ON A DOUBLE DATE
I think it’s safe to assume that your Valentine’s Day date is a dog owner, correct? Or at least is a major dog lover? If the answer is no, you should rethink the date… Just kidding! If you do already have plans, see if your pup can tag along! They would get a major kick out of meeting new people and hopefully new dogs as well. Let them play while you enjoy an evening with your boo. Besides, a puppy play date is one of the best ways for both you and your pup to have some real fun.

BUY THEM NEW SWAG
Retail therapy doesn’t only apply to humans, dogs love it too! Get them that fancy new sweater you’ve had your eye on, or maybe it’s time for a nice new collar or funky bandanna. Check to see if their tags need to be updated. It’s always a solid excuse to upgrade to something fabulous. Whatever it may be, head to the store or browse online for simple swag that will make your dog feel special.

DID SOMEONE SAY “DOG MASSAGE”?
I’m sure you pet your pup all the time, but have you ever given them a real deep tissue puppy massage? I know it might sound silly, but there are actually massage techniques developed specifically for canines! Do some research and try it out to achieve the ultimate relaxation for your pupper!

PLAN A S-PAW DAY
Not ready to stop at the massage? Take this idea to the next level by spending an entire day at a dog-friendly spa. You might need to do a bit of research beforehand to see if there is a spa or a specialty salon near you to help make your furry friend feel special. I’m particularly fond of the dog spas that offer dog-friendly facials and delicious treats!

BATH TIME AT HOME
If you can’t find a local dog spa in your area and don’t have the capability to create one from home, try treating your pup to a warm bubble bath instead! This only works if your dog is a bath pooch of course. Make a bubble bath with dog friendly soap and warm water, throw in your pup’s favorite toys and voila! You can take it a step further by setting the mood with some candles, music, and even a bowl of their favorite treats!

MAKE A V-DAY GIFT BASKET
Did you know that you can buy a Valentine’s Day gift basket for your dog with all kinds of Valentine’s dog goodies? They’re pretty neat, but also not specific to your dogs wants, loves, and needs. That’s why I like making my own basket for my pooch! Round up your pups favorite treats, add in some fun new toys, and maybe include a new bandana or collar you acquired during retail therapy!

ORGANIZE A DAY FOR THEM
Can’t decide which activities to do with your pup? Fear not! Organize an entire day dedicated to them. This may be the most obvious answer, but it is by far the best way to spend a perfect Valentine’s Day with your furry pal! Use the list above as inspiration and build an entire day around your pup. Make sure to only partake in the activities you and your dog enjoy and don’t forget to have fun with it. And most of all, have a very happy Valentine’s Day!
