National Bow Tie Day takes place on August 28^th every year. So, dig out those bow ties to wear, or if you’re like us, to dress up your pooch! Not got a bow tie? • The bow tie originates from Croatia in the 17^th Century.
• According to Guiness World Records, the largest bow tie ever made measured a whopping 3.42m wide and 2.13m tall and was created in San Diego, California.
• The most popular time to wear this accessory is on New Year’s Eve, followed by Christmas, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, and National Bow Tie Day.
• Black is the most popular color choice.
