5 Ingredient St. Patrick’s Day Dog Treats

If you’re anything like me and plan on spending this St. Patrick’s Day with your pup instead of frequenting your local pub, you might be looking for some fun activities to help you celebrate from home. Spoil your dog this holiday with our easy to make 5 ingredient St. Patrick’s Day dog treats perfect for pups of all shapes and sizes. Whether you’re an avid baker or prefer to get your dog treats at the store, this dog treat recipe requires minimal ingredients and is ready to munch in under an hour. Plus, it can be entirely organic and human-friendly making for a delicious savory baked snack.

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 6 - 12 treats

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil (Organic)
  • 1/3 cup Coconut Flour (Organic)
  • 2 Eggs (Free Range, Organic)
  • 1/2 cup Rolled Oats (GF, Organic)
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Spinach, Finely Chopped (Organic)

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees + lay parchment paper on top of baking sheet
  • Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly (if your dough is dry, add some additional olive oil or egg)
  • Take about ⅛ of a cup of dough and roll in your hands, then flatten on parchment paper on top of the baking sheet*
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until ends are slightly browned and the middle is cooked through
  • Let cool and serve

If you are looking to make bigger treats for larger dogs, use ¼ of a cup of dough for rolling instead of ⅛. If you happen to have a cookie cutter that you’d like to use, perhaps a shamrock for the seasonal touch, you can use it during the third step once the dough is rolled out. Lastly, I sometimes find that the treats can be bland for my taste so I like to add a touch of coconut oil as frosting and sprinkle with parsley and a crack of salt. They’re also super tasty with some toasted parmesan cheese on top, just throw them in the toaster oven for a warm delicious treat!
